We're finally getting some weather moving through the area, and it couldn't have come at a better time. After the severe drought we've had, this rain is a massive deal for us.
This has been a real "Wildfire Summer," and the smoky haze has been awful. It's been terrible for photography, and even just being outside meant dealing with burning eyes and a scratchy throat. So, you can imagine how welcome this higher humidity and rain are!
My plan for the day is to load up the truck and head out towards Moab, maybe making my way up to Island in the Sky in Canyonlands. It's tentative right now and really depends on how the cloud cover looks. I'm hoping to catch some dramatic, low-hanging thunderstorms in the canyons and see some images of water flowing off the mesas.
That's the goal, anyway! We'll see what the day brings. Thanks for stopping by!
